It has been a long time since I actually worked in a real company (I have been working as a freelance agent to “virtual” companies since 2008 – you can say I am outsourced) and I have not done any presentation slides for awhile. Imagine my surprise and the pressure it has given me when my mom told me I am going to present a project to contractors a few days from now – no one is able to do it and given my skills and experience, she naturally assumed I can do it. She doesn’t know that my people skills and public-speaking skills are a little bit rusty and that I need more than a week to get ready!

It doesn’t help that I am in charge of the technical aspect too. I need to get new projector bulbs, make the presentation and be presentable that day. I know this will give me nightmares for several days.
