Cooking with the Kids
Summer has always been a challenge for me. It is always the time when the heat is unbearable and the kids are cooped in the house 24 hours a day. They are bored and pick on each other as their way of entertaining themselves. It can be quite a crazy yelling house here at times.
So I have been thinking of summer activities for the kids. Anything other than letting them watch movies all day. So far, we bought a bike for our eldest and have bought enough PlayDoh cans for our daughter to keep her occupied. I am still searching for an activity we can all do together. It’s hard to have two kids with a 5 year age gap. I cannot involve the other while playing Scrabble, while doing finger painting is boring for my almost ten-year old.
Then I hit upon a great idea – cooking together! If you are searching for an activity that can get your kids involved, then cooking with kids is a fantastic option. You might be surprised to know that kids love trying out easy recipes in the kitchen and poking around with the cookery. If you can teach your kids to cook healthy dishes then this good habit would stay with them even when they grow up.Kids Cooking need to be simple and easy though, a recipe that can make a great snack and should look nice enough to eat too!
