How To Use Google to Organize your Online Life
They say not to put all your eggs in a basket – but Google can take care of everything so why bother?
- All e-mail accounts can be read, replied to and maintained, archived and everything else with GMail. If you move around a lot, consider this better than Outlook. I don’t know how to set things up, but as soon as I find out how, I will let you know.
Your organizer lies within Google Calendar. It can sync with e-mail (of course). And catch this – you can share this with friends, who can edit, add and share it with others too. Talk about one big party!
Google Docs. Seriously. USE them. And like Google Calendar. You can share them and edit them. Plus no need for USB drives. Upload to Google Docs and all your documents are there!
There is also a Tasks feature in Gmail where you can list your to-do’s (perfect for OCs like me!) and well, GTalk! Because one can never survive without chat!
