Bitten by the Domesticated Bug
If ever there is one!
I have been mildly obsessed on decorating our home. Take note that I’ve said decorating and not RE-decorating because it has never been decorated since we moved last August. My first goal is to have my own workstation (sounds selfish I know but with me working at home, I need a permanent space I can call my own so I can focus!).
I have been looking at home improvement and interior design blogs hoping I can be inspired and be able to work on whatever I can do with our house. I have found out that decorative hardware such as knobs, pulls and decorative hinge plates can give such a nice aura to the house – as Martha Stewart has always said, “It’s all in the details”
For example look at this nice room:
One could not help but notice that is exudes the aura of light – the room has very nice lighting!! The lights were installed behind the the Della crown molding you can see on the top of the room. The husband had always liked lights like those. Of course, shutters will be great too!
These decorative hardware knobs would also give a very nice touch to a wooden chest or cabinet. It would have very nice details and would make a great heritage piece:
