The Eternal New Year’s Resolution
My new year’s resolution for 2009 is the same resolution I have been making since 2004: lose weight. I guess resolutions really don’t sit well with me, so I will try not to make it a resolution but a goal. Ohhh, I like the sound of that already.
For one thing, I’m considered clinically obese already, if you base my BMI index and compare it to the obesity index. I’m tall so you would not notice it right away because of my height and frame, but I am really obese. Being obese puts me in the high risk category – that means I can’t exercise that strenuously not until approved by a doctor (and can you guess I haven’t been going to the doctor?). So the game plan is for me to lose weight first through diet until my knees and feet can handle my weight and then exercise AND diet.
Which takes us to a big hurdle: DIETING. I’m a hearty eater. I love food and I love to eat. Two years ago, I realize I’m an emotional eater as well, which severely complicates things. I need to really defocus my emotions and “untie” it with comfort foods. So you can also correctly guess I have had my share of experimenting with diet pills. There are pills which are really effective and compatible with me, there were others who had no effect. There was this diet pill which really was so effective it was scary – I lost 10 lbs in 7 days. But the rebound was when I stopped using it, I gained back all that I’ve lost!
There are also diet supplements that I have tried which worked for me. I guess the bad thing about diet pills these days is that you really don’t know which one really works – we need a diet pill review site that provides non-biased and real feedback and information. It would greatly help people in search of an effective diet pill.
